Business Headshots for Houston Methodist Hospital.Julie is graduate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she obtained her MBA and MSHA degrees. Julie’s interest in health care gained momentum during her undergraduate years at Vanderbilt where she started out as a pre-med student, but became more interested in the impact of health on the community, nation, and world. During her internship at a community hospital, she gained a basic foundation in hospital operations. Julie was then offered a managerial position at a revenue cycle company in Atlanta where she learned the intricacies of physician billing and coding. During graduate school, Julie had the opportunity to work as a corporate intern at Baptist Health System in the Quality and Case Management department. With a variety of health care experiences, Julie has gathered only a glimpse of the complexities of health care along with the diverse backgrounds of those within the field. Yet it is the constant change that makes this an exciting field to pursue for her and she is looking forward to the challenges ahead.

Julie has completed her administrative fellowship at Houston Methodist and recently accepted a position in the System Quality Office under the leadership of Senior Vice President and System CQO, Dr. Susan Abookire.
